The news is officially out. Ferrari has just set the preliminary price for its first-ever all-electric supercar at a staggering €550,000 ($590k+).
For context, that’s nearly double the price of some of their iconic V12 models.
What’s happening in Maranello?
The "Luce" Project: Ferrari's first EV is set for a world debut next month in Rome.
1. The Tech: Built in the new "E-building" factory, featuring an 800V high-voltage platform and ultra-lightweight carbon fiber.
2.The Strategy: They aren't competing with Tesla. They are competing with high-end luxury art.
The Big Question:
Ferrari has always been about the sound, that screaming V12 or V8 heart. Can they convince their loyal "Tifosi" that a battery-powered machine is worth half a million euros? Or is this where the legacy hits a digital wall?
Personally, I think Ferrari is betting on exclusivity over exhaust notes.
What do you think? Is a Ferrari still a Ferrari if it doesn't make a sound?
